Hope you doing good?๐Ÿ‘

Now we will move further in the Lessson.

Please remember:.the text in orange is to viewed by clicking on it.

At the end of the lesson you will be able to:
  • Define producers, consumers and decomposers.
  • Relate all three in a food chain.

THE LIVING COMMUNITY OF FOREST

A forest contains Abiotic Components (Non-living such as air, water and soil); and Biotic Components (Living such as Plants and Animals)

The biotic components are broadly classified into the following three categories:

Complete the below table in your ROUGH notebook after watching the above video:

PRODUCERS
CONSUMERS
DECOMPOSERS

HERBIVORES
CARNIVORES
OMNIVORES

These three forest communities interact with each other through a sequence of chain known as Food Chain.

Food Chain by The Like Minded on Dribbble

Food chain is defined as the linear sequence of living organisms in which every organism depend upon the other organism for food.

A typical food chain looks like this:
PRODUCERS➜CONSUMER I➜CONSUMER II➜CONSUMER III
E.G. PLANTS➜GRASSHOPPER➜FROG➜SNAKE

Think of two more examples yourself and write in the copies.

Please write down your queries in the comments down below. I will get back to them tomorrow.
    This all for today.
    See you tomorrow.

    Bye. Take care๐Ÿ˜Š
