  • Classify different types of plants and trees on the basis of life span
  • Relate SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) to the Lesson. SDG 13: CLIMATE ACTION; and SDG 15: LIFE ON LAND

On the basis of life span, trees and plants are of following types:

  • Annuals: Plants which have a life span of one year. E.g. herbs
  • Biennials: Plants which have a life span of two years. E.g. spinach, lettuce, leek, beets, onions, etc.
  • Perennials: Plants which have longer life span of over a decade to a few hundred years. E.g. shrubs and trees.
