The process of removing green colour from the leaves is called bleaching.

2.Answer these  questions orally-

c)  In activity -1 ,why did the match- stick flame burn brighter when it was brought close to the mouth of the test tube, that was inverted over the funnel containing the under water plant ?
d) In activity -2 ,why did the part of the leaf covered with black paper not turn blue-black ,when tested with iodine ?
